About

Hi, I’m Caitlyn—maker of slightly weird pottery and firm believer that art should make you feel something.

Art for My Soul began as a creative refuge—a place to slow down, work with my hands, and bring a little personality into everyday objects. Clay is my favorite medium because it’s grounding, imperfect, and full of surprises… kind of like life.

I create handmade pottery in small batches, with a soft spot for whimsical forms, expressive faces, and pieces that don’t take themselves too seriously. From monster mugs to garden totems, every piece is sculpted by hand—no molds, no duplicates—which means the one you choose is truly one of a kind.

My work is meant to be used and enjoyed. These are pieces that want to live on your counter, in your garden, or in your hands during a quiet moment. Some are playful, some a little grumpy, some unexpectedly comforting—but all are made with care and intention.

By day, I work in a helping profession that asks a lot of my heart. Creating pottery is how I recharge, reconnect with my peace, and make something just for the sake of making. This space is where art meets rest, humor, and a bit of soul.

Thanks for being here. I’m so glad you found your way to my corner of clay and creativity.

Welcome! I’m a potter in California creating handmade ceramics in small batches. My work focuses on expressive, one-of-a-kind pieces. This blog is where I document the process, the experiments, and the occasional surprise. Let’s be honest…disasters too.
